DUPIXENT is the only FDA-approved biologic treatment for
allergic fungal rhinosinusitis (AFRS) for adults and children
ages 6 years and up who have had surgery on their nose or
sinuses in the past.
DUPIXENT was studied in a 52-week clinical trial in 62 adult and pediatric patients aged 6 years
and older with AFRS who have had surgery on their nose or sinuses in the past. During the study,
patients were allowed to continue background intranasal corticosteroids.
Patients achieved improved sinus imaging results compared to those on placebo at week 52 (50% reduction vs 10% reduction).
A lower score on sinus imaging testing could indicate reduced swelling or mucus
Patients saw a reduced need for sinus surgery and/or oral steroids by 92%, compared to placebo at week 52
Some patients saw improvements in as
early as one month.*
Patients experienced an 81% reduction in nasal congestion at week 52, compared to 11% on placebo
Some patients had an improved sense of smell in as little as 2 weeks†,‡
Patients saw their nasal polyps shrink by approximately 63% at week 52 compared to 4% on placebo
Don’t stop taking your corticosteroid medicine unless instructed by your doctor.
